Navy Sports Council
Sport in the Navy is played at many levels, ranging from local to national through to international, against foreign Defence Force and civilian sides, within Australia and overseas.
The Navy Sports Council (NSC) role is to implement the Australian Defence policy on sport within the Royal Australian Navy through the organisation, funding and implementation of sports that enhance Navy's values.
The NSC approves the conduct of national and international events proposed by the various sporting bodies, organise policy for the conduct of sport within all Navy establishments and oversees the Navy sports budget. This budget is used to enable teams and individuals to participate in local area competitions and Australian Defence Force sponsored carnivals.
The Navy Sports Council is made up of the following personnel:
